When I'm taking pictures by using RICOH THETA, I am often asked

"That's great! Can you send me this picture?"
or "How do you print that out?"

At such time, I always can't find the right answer.

Should I have "Yeah, ok, I'll send this picture to you, but you need to install this player first, and then..." sort of conversation each time? Umm...that's obviously not the best idea.

So, I developed an application called Portable Panorama Player that enables a user to send a spherical image easily to an email address, and the recipient can save the image locally.

What is Portable Panorama Player?

Portable Panorama Player is a panorama player exclusively developed for RICOH THETA on HTML5 Canvas/WebGL, and it runs on a web browser. Its biggest feature is that it is one archive file that includes picture data, player, etc. In a nutshell, you can send a panoramic image as a simple attachment to an email, and the recipient can open it by double-clicking. The panoramic images can also be copied and saved just like normal images. I hope you get an idea of this.
